Lottery
Chapter 34
By Mark J. Silva Jr
A month later, Mark stepped out of a van and smiled. Everything had gone according to plan. The snatch team leader had escaped with a nightmare of a story about a pack of wolfgirls killing her friends. Her one surviving friend had been sentenced to death and executed right in front of her. Or, at least, that was what she remembered.
In reality, there was no prison, there had been no escape and no one had died. From the moment they had entered the house everything that they witnessed and remembered was a planted memory.
The three ladies who supposedly had died were just now completing their changes from humans into pet hybrid wolfgirls. Today, Mark was personally delivering the first of those pets to its new owner.
Donni waited in his home under the watchful eyes of the guards while his mom answered the door and had a few quick words with someone.
“Are you sure this is safe? He is so young,” Donni's mom questioned. “Okay, then, bring her in.”
Donni's mom moved aside, and an older lady walked in and smiled at him, “Hello, Donni. I'm Di, and this is Mark.”
Mark stepped into the house wearing a simple yellow sundress and sandals. Donni smiled as Mark checked him out. Donni was about seven, and was wearing a pair of blue jeans with a white tank top on and his curly hair done up in tight braids.
Following behind Mark were three pets. When the black wolfgirl saw Donni, everything clicked in place for her. From this point forward in her life, she would see Donni as her pup, and would give her life protecting the boy.
“Donni, I'd like you to meet Rosa your new pet wolfgirl,” Mark said as he stepped to the side and allowed Rosa to step in front of him.
Unlike Penny and Tina, Rosa was a fully grown adult. Under Mark's plan, she'd kept her size and tripled her muscle mass. She also had the same enhanced skeletal system and bio-zirconium dioxide (ceramic) enhanced fangs and retractable claws.
Unlike Penny, where Penny had all her own memories but depended on Tina for guidance, Rosa was mind wiped and was highly intelligent. As far as Rosa was concerned, she had always been a wolfgirl and Donni was her pup.
Rosa dropped to all fours and walked over to nuzzle Donni who giggled as her fur tickled him.
“Is she really all mine?” he asked.
“She sure is. Just remember you have responsibilities in caring for Rosa and…”
Donni squealed as Rosa found a ticklish spot, and tickled him thoroughly. When Rosa stopped tickling Donni, he sat down, breathing hard.
He asked, “But how come I get her?”
Mark looked at Donni's mom and smiled as he pulled a golden card from his bag and flipped it around so Donni could read it.
“Didn't your mom tell you, Donni? You won the pet lottery!”
